I also have an older Dell desktop. I ran the Utilities Suite on the newer laptop. I did every scan and let it fix all issue\’s with the exception of the duplicate files. The reviews I read about issue\’s after running the duplicate files convinced me it wasn\’t worth taking the risk. It worked great when all was done.

I ran the Utilities Suite on the older laptop and desktop. Within two weeks I had major issue\’s everywhere. I discovered it was best to only use the updates from Dell, including drivers. The Utilities Suite said there were 22 driver updates and after letting it install them problems began popping up speradically. The registry fixes and optimization seemed to work good. Other than that I don\’t recommend using the Utilities Suite on older systems.

I ran the hard disk utilitly I got from Dell and the hard drive manufacturer prior to running the one that comes with the Utilities Suite.

They showed no problems and the Utilities Suite showed serious problems. I never had issues with the hard drives and after letting the Utilities Suite have its way with the hard drive I began having \”Unmounted NTFS System\” errors multiple times daily.

I ended up replacing the hard drives in both the older systems. In a nut shell – I feel newer system may benifit from this package but the older ones will suffer greatly. This is a PC tool that is useful in addition to anti-virus software, but like all similar programs to maintain the health of a PC, it is only as good as the vendor keeps on top of the updates.

It cleans up junk files, traces of internet tracking, driver updates, and registry issues. Several Amazon reviews have mentioned issues, but as with any software of this type, you must install the latest update before running it the first time as you know the CD in the package is probably out of date.

Amazon had a great price on a three user or 3 PC version. Remember, this is a service you have to renew annually, so this is the most economical way of doing so. One person found this helpful. This software is only good for one year and then you have to re-purchase.

I find that highly inconvenient, and not economical at all. I seem to have one issue with my computer shutting down when I watch videos.

Other less expensive utility software did not seem to solve the problem at all. This one does, but I just hate the price of renewal. It\’s good for three computers, but I only need it for one. I wish they had a cheaper one user version. I didn\’t notice any change in speed after using this software, I wouldn\’t buy it if that\’s your intention. It may work for software issues like it does for my computer. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on this software with claims it\’s spyware, cause a computer to crash and rash of other nonsense.

I wouldn\’t be surprised if someone claimed it infected them with the herpes virus. I have used at least a half dozen similar software utilities, even one did Dell put their name on and compared WinZip\’s they were all junk. I have been using System Utilities Suite for 3 years, and whenever my subscription runs out it only takes about a week for me to start noticing the difference in how my computer is running.

It takes a little time to understand what settings to use how often the run each one, run automatically or manually, ET C. Before any changes are made to the computer such as installing drivers, change to the registry, etc there is a backup that is automatically taken, unless you choose to click on \”skip\”..

The utilities on this software are much better than Norton and other likewise software. It does a bang up job for a good amount of money compared to the expensive counterparts.

Best Bang for your bucks. Works great in the background so you do not have to wait around for it to finsih like some programs will tell you. It held so much promise, but I now will say look elsewhere. Corel has perhaps the finest, easiest to use windows system utilities suite on the market.

At the current Amazon price, you can\’t go wrong. Best of all, the basic tools may be used together in regular checkups, scheduled or manual run. Great product. Before installing the program on my desktop computer I checked the disk with Norton Antivirus and Malware bytes for viruses and malware.

Everything was fine. But as soon as I installed the program, and tried to register it, I was redirected to different Web sites and this is when I was loaded with all types of viruses and other junk, which completely destroyed my computer, corrupted my Windows registry and turned all my executable files into.

And, of course, I couldn\’t register the program and I had to reinstall Windows. To make things worse, I thought, may be I already had viruses in my desktop, I couldn\’t even imagine that Amazon sells software without checking it, so I tried to install the program on my laptop. And the result was the same, I had to reinstall Windows.

The second copy was a little suspicious, but not dirty. It installed very well, ran through the first system cleanup on my computer and I was very happy. But, when I tried to register it my using the activation code that came with the disk, the Corel registration system said that the activation code was no good previously used, I assume.

I then spent some time trying to speak to a human being at WinZip with absolutely no success, the company seems to operate by means of recorded messages. Finally, I started checking out the software by looking closely at the reviews – they were not good; many people had similar experiences to mine and in particular the inability to speak to a human being at WinZip to work out problems.

I have quite a few Corel products, but I will purchase nothing else from Corel and in particular, WinZip, in the future. Get fast answers from reviewers.
